The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at Head Start. The children at HS get meals funded by this program for breakfast and snack daily. Lunch is provided by SNP (School Nutrition Program). For those children that need meal accommodations due to growth deficiencies or allergies, our program works together with the pediatrician, CACFP and SNP to accommodate the needs of each child.
Children are provided meals only while in our care. If a child is not scheduled to be in class physically, they will not be provided meals that day.
